Well, as always life doesn’t seem to disappoint. It moves and moves and never stops. I giggle to myself when someone tells me they are too busy for this or too busy for that. Isn’t that life? Could you call it anything else if you weren’t connected to anything or anyone? Wouldn’t it be boring if it were just you and what you wanted to do? Life is full of surprises, disappointments and successes.
Since Friday in my life a grandparent was diagnosed with 12 weeks to live, a cousin was in a near fatal car crash, a baby was born, an uncle has fallen in love and my child has fallen sick. Today is Monday and life stops for no one. There is a fire on a bridge and the MTA shut service down. Grand Central Station is closed and that means my husband isn’t coming home tonight. My friend came by with meds and snacks for my kids and a bottle of wine for the mom. This is life. We take care of each other.
We laugh, we love, we cry and we just live it. I feel so fortunate to find the silver lining in things. My husband has a place to stay in NJ so he isn’t stuck. I’m lucky to be a stay at home mom and able to be here with my little guy when he sick. We also were blessed with a package from Noah’s uncle that had some special goodies in it that made my sick boy’s day! A friend came without even a second thought to bring me things when she knew my hubby wasn’t coming home. Ah, love, it’s so exciting when you hear that someone has found that somebody they can’t live without! A baby- need I say more- born to a loving wonderful couple. An almost car accident, beaten and bruised, but alive when the pictures say he should be otherwise. A miracle. An impending death, well, nothing good I can say about that one. I pray that they are released from their pain. This is life in a nutshell.
Life is right in front of your face. You just need to live it, one step at a time. Do whats important, not just what you have to do. Make the mistakes and have no regrets. It happens so fast. I had to share today because I can’t be the only one that all this stuff happens too. I might just happen to look at from a different point of view.
