Part of my health makeover has to do with mental health. What can you do to make things that are just plain boring special? Simple gestures go a long way. Now that I had reclaimed my Living Room coffee table I wanted to clean the space. It was a dreary windy, dark day yesterday. I seized the moment and lit all my candles. I have them in every single room Such a simple thing made cleaning more relaxing, it added some sort of odd anticipation to finishing the task at hand.
I still had that achy feeling in my body and decided to listen to it and not push myself. I actually got a few things done that I have been putting off and feel like I’m getting my groove back on.
Here is how the food part is going:
I was very conscious today and ate much better than yesterday, although I feel as if I should have had more water. I have definitely incorporated more fruit and vegetables in my diet today. One thing that I have always naturally done is not drink while I’m eating a meal. I just found out that is the way you should eat. You should drink 6-8 glasses of water in between meals and then just sip if you need to during your meal. You don’t want to dilute your digestive juices that aid in the absorption of nutrients. Interesting right?
Day 5 begins an actual healthy eating program. I hope I’m ready. I know Thanksgiving will definitely be a cheat! Oh, I slept great again last night!
