In 4 days I turn 40, so let the countdown begin! I’m bust getting ready for the bash of the century ( ok, so maybe the bash of the month-LOL) so I’m running out of time to blog and get everything else done I need to as well. If you follow me then you know that every Friday I post a 10 Things I Learned This Week piece, these next few days I’m gonna give a little bit more of me till I get through this weekend. So hold on to your hats because this is 10 Things that I find annoying on Facebook! Now don’t get bent on me if you are guilty of some of these because God knows so am I. Take some time today to laugh at yourself or laugh about things you find annoying too.
Almost everyday on Facebook you can find:
10. Pictures of food people have made in their homes. ( OK, so I’ve done this too, but I don’t need to see your neatly arranged veggie platter- show me that 3 tier wedding cake with live doves on top if you want to impress me.)
9. A remark that keeps people guessing. (guilty of this as well, but it wasn’t intentional at first. Obviously you are comment starved and want people to ask you about it.)
8. Part of a song lyric. ( Never, but really-why? Is it that you don’t know the rest of the words and are looking for friends to fill in the blanks.
7. A friend request from someone that you talk to for two seconds at an event. ( Unless you are have a business and are looking to network do you really need to be friends with the person you just talk to about your dog?)
6. Those annoying game requests! ( I played for like a month when I first joined Facebook, but who has the time? My farm is dead and I think I lost my job as a barrista and got thrown out of the sorority.)
5. Invites to events from people you never speak to in person. ( Now if you are selling something- sure this is a great way to get new people to try your product, but inviting me to your birthday party when if I ran into you on the street wouldn’t know you- not so much)
4. someone crying about what a crappy life they have or boasting about their brand new boat and vacation home. ( Although I do not have a boat or vacation- I guess I have been guilty about both of these to some degree. Although I’m finding some people just stick to one of these and I’m just bored with it. )
3. photos of people with alcohol. ( Guilty as well, but I posted it because I thought I looked good, not because I had a drink in my hand. I guess people want others to think they know how to hang and have a good time.)
2. The endless quotes. ( I am sooooo bored of this one as well, You want to be original make up your own quote. You want to be wise- get out and embrace the world -learn! Be your own inspiration.)
1. And my top pet peeve of all time- the serial photo takers. ( how many pictures of yourself must I be subjected to. My only hope is that someone breaks your bathroom mirror. I’m sure you haven’t changed much this week from last week that I need another reminder of what you look like)
Wow! I feel so much better now. Tomorrows post will be 10 Things…. You’ll just have to wait!

I have a fb friend that uploads about 200 pictures a day. She annoys me and some of my friends have deleted her because of it.

This top 10 list is the exact reason I”m not on facebook a lot!!!!!!!!

Yes, I definitely agree with the serial photo taker! But the worse ones are the ones who add every single photo they’ve ever taken without regard to quality or whether the photos are totally out-of-focus! C’mon, what is the point? That just let’s me know you want attention, but you’re throwing everything at the wall hoping something will stick without even reviewing it yourself! I would never hire this kind of person for anything that requires detail work! One good picture says a lot! We don’t need to see ten photos of the same scene taken back-to-back! This dissipates the value of all of your photos. Quality; not quantity!

I totally agree about the people playing games on Facebook. I have so many requests that I have never responded to for help with a game or gifts of imaginary items. Why would I want an imaginary bar of chocolate? If you are sending the real thing then please send me a notification if not please don’t bother.

I agree with the games. That drives me crazy. I am following you from the Monday blog hop.
