This has been my boys first week of school. It is a bit odd being home alone, but I’m sure I’ll be fine. The husband and I are working on finishing up our house so there is a lot of work to do here. I’m also volunteering for both of my boys at school. It should be a good year. I also just got some mystery shopping gigs that I haven’t been able to do because of the kids being home so hopefully I’ll bring in some more dough. I’ve been a bit tired and not feeling all that well this week, but I think it’s just the adjustment. No word yet from my doctor, or the insurance about my leaky roof. Oh, well let’s just get to it.
This week I learned that:
10. watching horror movies during the day seriously damages the genre. ( I like to have the TV on when I work and I love horror movies which, I obviously can’t watch when the kids are home, but it’s just not the same during the day.)
9. people want things because other people have them. ( yes, yes, I’ve known this but I’ve been reminded just how much this is true this week)
8. my kids aren’t the only ones being eaten alive by mosquitos. ( this crappy rainy warm weather has made them breed like crazy)
7. karma, oh sweet karma really does exisist. ( wake up! maybe shit keeps happening to you because you are making poor choices in your life)
6. I’m cool. ( I’m laughing right now because I don’t remember when or why I wrote this! I make a list all week so that I can post on Friday and this was on my list.)
5. I’m so lucky to be married to my hubby. ( he is a great stand up guy and I love him to death. Of course I knew this, but I’ve been thinking about it a lot this week)
4. you have no business complaining if you haven’t spoken up for yourself. ( Just say it. If it’s how you feel, people can’t tell you that it’s wrong.)
3. no matter what there is always going to be that working mom/stay at home mom tension. ( I’m so over it. Do you really care what I do? I don’t really care what you do?)
2. when I tell people that I’m lactose intolerant they think I just can’t have milk. ( this includes cheese, yogurt, ice cream, any dairy products or things made with dairy products. Not just milk people)
1. my ten things posts are clicked on as much as my giveaways. ( thank you, thank you! I just started tracking my stats!)
Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for:
This week my husband:
3. ate half the bags of my cracker samples that I was supposed to share with my moms group. (seriously, I went to put together treat bags for my ladies and noticed all these bags missing. He said I knew he ate them – WTF! I guess the review will be good since he obviously couldn’t stop eating them!)
2. while helping me bring the laundry baskets upstairs dropped clean clothes in the cat’s litter box. ( obviously, I washed them again)
1. insisted on helping me paint the stairwell and in the process dropped a tray of paint down the stairs onto my shiny black tile floor and wooden banister. ( I just wanted to sit and watch a movie, but no he insisted that he finish the high part so I can paint during the week. Needless to say I couldn’t watch my movie and ended up with paint on my legs and hands and scrubbing the floor.)
Have a great weekend!

Top ten item four: so true! We spend all this time trying to gain respect from others and often act subdued in efforts to not offend the other person. Sometimes you just need to be spontaneous and speak your mind. In the end people respect those that follow their own path.
