Did you think I dropped off the planet? I kind of did. Here is the update:
Day 5:
As a parent something always happens, you can’t ever predict it. Day 5 of Project Me begins with my 7 year old waking up sick and my cat peeing on my floor. We’ve been treating this cat for a UTI for weeks now and it’s just not getting any better. I’m having a bit of anxiety over it. I get my little guy off on the bus and my big guy under a blanket on the couch. Can I really keep up with bootcamp? I feel good, but I don ‘t know. I got the scale out. Crap- only 1 pound. Is this worth it? Let me get that measuring tape out! Has it been worth it? I’ve lost 5 1/2 inches! That’s right! Unfortunately, nothing came off my thighs, but at least they’re holding my pants up! The waist and hips are big. I have to continue.
The one plus to working out to a book instead of a video is that I could put my mat down and workout while my little sick guy was watching his movie. The funny part was he kept asking me if I was okay. I am a mess when I workout, hence why I don’t do it in public anymore. So, I did it! I had 20 minutes of cardio to do still, so I put the DVD on my laptop and worked out in my kitchen. My husband called me hard core!
I even got some blogging done. So, I’m still not caught up, but I had sick time with my sweetie and had to keep my cat from peeing on everything. Then the sabotage: hubby brought me home a Big Mac! Yes, I ate it. I don’t know why. Its so gross.
Day 6:
Saturday morning breakfast with the ladies, I would have to push my workout to later in the day. When I arrived home, my oldest was curled up in bed with a fever. I needed to take him to the doctor. He was beet red. Guess what? He’s got strep! My husband had to take my other son out with him to get our Christmas tree. This is the first year we haven’t been together getting our tree.
The bootcamp never happened today. My boys needed love, my tree needed lights and I had to follow the cat around. Oh, and I didn’t get to blog either. I did write about a million Christmas cards. It didn’t exactly suck. I just surrendered to it. Tomorrows another day.
Day 7:
I never made it to the lights yesterday. I’ll start today. My little one has his Football awards dinner tonight. I need to get him a bath, shirt and tie. Of course he’s outgrown almost everything and I’m digging in his closet for stuff. My mother in law in staying with my oldest son tonight so I need to get somethings ready before she comes. My endorphins are slipping. I never make it to workout today. I’m not going to beat myself about it. I have tomorrow to make this work. I go to bed at 9 and no, I never got to blog.
Stay tuned!
