Just because I’m working on myself doesn’t mean I can’t let loose every once and awhile. I’m so tired of these workout zombies telling you what your every move should be when it comes to exercise or food. Project Me is working and it doesn’t have to hurt. I think it’s working because I’m being kind to myself. I’ve lost 1 or 2 more pounds and I’m about that far away from my weight loss goal for the month. I’ve been working out regularly and not beating myself up or quitting when my schedule doesn’t work the way I planned. The important part is to never stop moving and not to let any set backs beat you down. The kids get sick, the car breaks down, or you have a flood in your kitchen – just keep moving. This thought pattern has kept me on track towards my goals. I have broken my goals down by month and by category. This month I have stayed on track for the most part.
Here is my update:
- I’ve lost a total of 4 pounds this month. One more meets my goal.
- I’ve almost met my marriage goals
- I’ve been trying to create 1 new meal a week- done
- Reading time for boys-done
- Field Trip with the boys-LOL, done and 1 more coming
I’m feeling good about how things are going, although some things just haven’t happened yet.
- Date night – not yet
- Cleaning schedule ( no rush on this one-LOL)
Here are some things I’m still working on and hope to finish this month:
- My scrapbook ( I’m trying to finish 1 a month)
- Finish 1 room a month ( paint, artwork, etc.)
I set a lot of short term goals. A little every month seems more doable and I’ve marked it on my calendar to help. These goals have actually made life challenging again and that’s a good thing. I’ve had to work a little bit harder to push myself, but it’s been worth it.
How are your goals working out for you?

I love that you said these “goals make my life more challenging, and that’s a good thing”. So often we just let life get way too easy!
My goals are coming along great. I’ve been really showing people in my life how important they are to me, I’ve been super thankful..and some I can’t work on till after I have this baby! ๐

Good for you! I tried to break it down to monthly goals. So far it’s been easier to keep up with. Good luck to you!

What great ideas/goals. I am doing the one new meal a week…I am doing good on that. I think I may add the one room a month goal too…some great goal! Nice work!

I think it is awesome that you have goals that you are working towards. I need to get on that bandwagon. I totally blew off thinking about accomplishing anything. ๐ Date night is awesome! I miss those!
