I am so tired right now. I don’t even want to write this, but I must. I’m coming down off the high from vacation and not only am I faced with real life right now, but also catching up from being on vacation. It’s insane, plus throw into the mix my son getting the arms on his palate extender attached making life a living hell. The weather has been completely screwed up and that doesn’t help either. It’s hot, cold, rainy and unpredictable. The husband and I started a diet and all I can think about is having a cocktail and a large basket of fries. As I’ve said, insane! Oh well, I think I can take a rest on Wednesday. Please take a moment and checkout the giveaways I have going on and show them some love! Here we go:
This week I learned that:
10. my son knows all my favorite TV shows. ( Since we don’t have TV I watch them on my computer when working or cooking, I ever knew he noticed. Parents take note: They are always paying attention even when you think they are not.)
9. my youngest son doesn’t like frosting. ( He made me pull it off the cupcakes, I was shocked.)
8. some people have no problem breaking promises and not apologizing for them. ( Don’t offer to help unless you actually want too.)
7. sometimes you might think you are doing someone a favor, but they think they are doing you a favor. ( mental note: don’t ask these people for help anymore.)
6. there are only two weeks of school left. ( I have have no idea how this happened so soon-crap!)
5. the first pick up of the season from our CSA is always the most exciting. ( I love the first veggies of the season. Farm fresh gets my creative juices flowing in the kitchen!)
4. people are obsessed with how big their babies are. ( It seems the bigger the baby the better. I don’t get it.)
3. that my friend P. was right. Washing dishes is the worst household task. ( My dishwasher hasn’t been working for 3 days now and it sucks!)
2. when you haven’t seen someone in a long time it can be a real shocker to see how much they’ve changed. ( So much that I needed to check myself in the mirror to see if I had changed that much.)
1. I sometimes avoid trying things because I’m afraid to fail. ( Ouch, yes, I’m admitting it. I saw it in someone else and it reminded me of myself. I’m going to try harder.)
Have a great weekend!

I told you dishes sucked. (I think you should go ahead and have that cocktail and fries!)
Mrs. F says
On the cocktail and fries front. I found an AMAZING new drink– Hannaford didn’t have it, but Target did. Polar Seltzer in Mint Mojito flavor. AHHH mazing! Crystal Light also makes a mojito and an appletini mix. Yumm. Best of luck!
