I’m sure you are all beyond thrilled that husband is back making an appearance in my 10 Things. It’s always a laugh when I post about the things he’s done during the week. He’s been good, but came back full swing this week. This week started off with more sickness. Can you believe it? All four of us a got a bit of the stomach bug, buy luckily it lasted only 24 hours. My reflux seemed way too irritated by it and I’m going to start a semi-strict clean eating routine on Monday. Hopefully that will help, I’m not a fan of medication and so far have avoided taking any. Anyway, here is a peak at my week:
This week I learned that:
10. I still haven’t gotten over my fear of the dentist. ( You’ll be seeing a full post about this experience. )
9. if you spill an entire glass of wine on your Blu-Ray remote it won’t work anymore. ( Not even if try to suck the wine all out with a straw. (LOL!) I had to order a new one. )
8. there is nothing worse than being sick with a sick kid. ( When you can barely take care of yourself it’s awful to try to take care of someone else.)
7. my 9 year old can do an awesome job of helping out while his brother and I are sick. ( He got us tissues and drinks, but drew the line at cleaning up vomit.)
6. Life is better when you put your energy with positive people and avoid the negative ones. ( I feel so much better since I let a few friendships go.)
5. my husband thinks I function at my best when I’m under pressure. ( I have always know this, but was surprised that he picked up on this fact. I was also very impressed that he recognized that within me.)
4. something is going on with my little guy, but I’m not sure exactly what it can be. ( He seems a little sad at times or angry. His teacher and I working on finding out what he’s thinking about. Maybe just growing pains.)
3. I’m so over people playing the victim card with me. ( Life is hard for everyone not just you. Stop expecting everyone to save you and do something about it.)
2. even when listening is all you can do, it helps. ( I wish I could have said something to ease your pain, but there were no words to be found. )
1. I’m truly happy. ( Do I need to say more?)
Ah, the husband is back up to his tricks. Here is what he’s been up to this week:
1. He got a parking ticket because he paid for parking with the wrong spot number. ( He’ll be able to fix it, but this has happened before.)
2. I asked him to pick me up a box of Lipton Cup of Soup when I was sick. I even showed him the box. He bought me a case of ramen noodles. ????
3. While helping our son with his homework assignment about penguins he implied that Happy Feet and March of the Penguins was the same movie. ???
Me: We’ll have to get March Of The Penquins so you can really see what happens when penguins lay eggs.
Husband: He’s seen Happy Feet same difference.
Me: Are you comparing a movie about a dancing animated penguin to the award winning documentary March of the Penguins?
Husband: Well, if you put that way I guess not.
4. He washed the sleeping bag covered in vomit without laundry detergent. I discovered this fact when I opened the dryer and the smell almost knocked me over. He admitted to rinsing the vomit off before he put it in the washer ( thank God!), but couldn’t remember if he used detergent.
Gotta love the husband!

ROFL @ Hubby’s #’s 3&4! Mine puts all the clothes in the wash (he has a thing for appliances-he runs the dishwasher too!) so he knows better 😉 (this also means that all I usually have to do is fold the clothes!)
