I suppose that you could argue whether or not technology has hurt or helped relationships. I have been married for quite some time so for me technology has definitely helped my relationship. I feel connected with my husband throughout the day and know that he is a text or call away. I can remind him of the kids events, appointments or anything at the drop of a hat. I didn’t think it could get any better, but then we started using the Twyxt App.
Twyxt is an app for couples. You can’t use it alone. It lets you share photos, messages, lists and a calendar. You and your partner can communicate in a private space on your iPhones or like my husband and myself between iPhone and iPad! ( An android version is coming soon!) The Twyxt app is available for free now at the iTunes App Store. Download free here: http://bit.ly/twyxtdl
At first I wasn’t sure what was so different about this app compared the normal features on my phone, but I like the fact that it’s just between my husband and myself. I’m sorry to say that I’m one of those unfortunate people that have made the mistake of texting the wrong person and I’ve done it more than once. So, I’m feeling more secure in what I say to my partner now. This private messaging feature also includes Urgent Texts which can not only deliver a text, but sends it to the linked email address as well. Now, that’s a time saver. My favorite feature is the Freeze mode where you can freeze your partners screen and they have to tap it till it cracks like ice to get back in! I’ve been having some fun with that one.
The Twyxt Couples Calendar isn’t just your typical calendar. It automatically creates a photobook from your messaging stream. To me, it’s like an online journal of my days. You can just click on the day and view what happened. The Shared Lists feature lets you and your partner create, add and complete list together in real time. This is a great feature for when work, sports, or other activities get in the way of communicating with each other.
Now, while I’m not much of a user of emoticons I like the assortment available for MoodSharing. I was won over by the Blogging one! I think I’ll be using that one quite a bit. So, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, I couldn’t think of a better time to connect with Twyxt.
