Back in July I attended Blog Her- One of the most awesome blogging conferences around! Sometimes bloggers get perks and are invited to some special events that happen during the conference and Staples invited me to attend a special back to school breakfast with hosted by Julie Alexander of OK! TV with celebrity moms โ television personality, Leeza Gibbons and Jersey Belle and #cawfeetawk star Jaime Primak Sullivan to find out how they get “back to school” with their families.
Since my homeschooler is actually attending school this year I was excited to see all the new trends in back to school that Stapes has to offer. Besides the usual tried and true brands, Staples went to students and had them design the products that they wanted to see. The students want school supplies that are smart and easy; comfortable and portable; shift in size to fit their needs and have pops of color. The Designed by Students Collection is available in a variety of color combinations.
New to Staples this year is their partnership with Me to We. This line of eco-friendly school supplies is helping to educate, engage and empower youth to become active local and global citizens. All Me to We product, that are exclusive at Staples, come with a unique 8 digit code to allow buyers to track online at TrackYourImpact.com to see where their purchase gives a life-changing gift in a Free The Children community overseas.
Plus until September 15, Staples is offering their 110% price match guarantee. That’s right! You will pay the lowest price every time.Personally, I’m a big fan of this offer as I usually store hop in order to get the best deals. Now, I can get them all in one place. On top of the lowest prices, you also earn up to 5% back in rewards on everything. Have a college student? They also can get the best deal and offers on technology, too!
Jamie Primak Sullivan is super organized when it comes her children. They each have a bin all of their own and it contains everything they need for school. Leeza Gibbons also stressed organization as key to back to school success. They both also commented on the use of a family calendar to help keep everyone on track.
As with most blogging events I received a cool swag bag filled with back to school supplies from the latest collections. I also received a $25 gift card from Staples to donate to a classroom project of my choice. Staples for Students has partnered up with Think it Up.Think It Up is a new initiative โ in support of young people, teachers and schools โ that will help create a culture of excitement about learning everywhere in America. You can donate as you checkout or online at DonorsChoose.org. I entered my zip code and find a local school that I used my gift card to donate. Thanks Staples!
One other thing I’d like to mention is that Staples offers a free ship to store service. I sat down went through my boys’ lists and ordered everything online! Since I Staples has the 110% lowest price guarantee I had no worries that I was getting the best deals. It was so easy. I just went into the store, showed my ID, went through my boxes and I was out the door! Since I also forgot something I was able to use a coupon from the local paper and still get another deal!
Disclosure: While I was no compensated for this post I did receive a Staples gift card and swag bag at the event. All thoughts and experiences are my own.
