Grandma & Me in the Kitchen is an intergenerational activity kit from Little Bridges. The kit contains a story book, recipe activity journal, keepsake child’s apron, keepsake pot holder, and fabric paint. I was sent a kit to write about my thoughts about this gift. I love it and here is why!
About Grandma & Me in the Kitchen:
If you have a grandmother in your life that enjoys spending time in the kitchen with your kids this is a wonderful gift and keepsake item. The kit is geared for children ages 4 – 7. The box can be used to store these for safe keeping in the future.
Inside the kit you have two books, one a storybook, and the other a activity recipe journal. The storybook is a fun story that begins with a child cooking with their grandma in the kitchen and ends up with gram telling a story. A perfect book to read together! It all has a section that lets you get creative and gives you prompts to make your your own stories. The activity journal is the real hero here. It is not only a journal of recipes, but a place to capture new memories as well as old traditions. There are pages that tear out which can be shared with the parents. They include recipes and conversation the grandparent and child had while making a dish together. The journal also has a place to document favorite recipes, the stories behind them, and other secrets a grandparent might want to share.
Both the apron and pot holder can be personalized as a keepsake! The apron is child’s size and the kit comes with fabric paint to make it easy for you to do this craft.

My children are grown, but I think they would have loved to have some fun like this in the kitchen with their grandmother. Plus I think grandparents can be especially hard to shop for and this would be a welcome gift for both parents and grandparents to enjoy.
