Since I began the program at Revolt Fitness people keep asking me about the diet. How I do it? What it is? I’ll give you the scoop right now. It’s 6 meals a day, that are designed to be made in one day, in one hour for the week. Yes, you eat the same meals everyday, except Saturday for the week. Saturday is your free day and you can indulge in whatever you might fancy. Basically the plan is a clean eating plan low on carbs, lots of food and I haven’t been hungry at all. You can checkout what other bloggers have to say below. I know people are having different reactions to the diet, but for me it’s been easy and successful. I think my husband said it best when he said, “I like it because I don’t have to think about what to eat. It’s ready and it’s there.” He’s right.
The program plans that you shop on Saturday and that on Sunday you prepare your meals. My fridge is packed with meals for the week and I will also freeze a few. The menu changes every week and there is also a substitutions chart if you need to swap an item out that you might not like to eat. It really makes things easy. I will also plan according to my weeks schedule and make some dinners fresh. The next big question I get asked as a mom is, “What about the kids?” Well, I’m lucky that my husband is doing the diet portion of this program with me so I don’t have to worry about him, but I do have two boys. On the fresh nights I make them what we are eating. It’s simple considering it’s chicken and a veggie or steak and a veggie, my kids will eat that no problem. I do add another side for them like rice or pasta. The other nights it’s not a big deal at all. My meal is already made so I just have to make one dinner for them. It really is no different then any other night.
The hardest part is probably Thursday. That’s when I want to eat something different. This coming week seems to have a menu right up my alley including salmon and mini quiches! I wanted to talk about the diet this week because I have had several people tell me things like, “I only want the workout not the diet.” ” I can’t eat__ _ _” or ” I don’t want to make myself a different meal than my family.” Here is the truth: you need both the diet and exercise to make this plan work. That’s how it’s designed. In a recent video workout Nichole from Revolt Fitness ended with a message saying, ” Eat clean. The diet is 80% of the program.” Personally, I feel like you need both. You can’t just workout and eat crap and like wise you can’t just eat well and not workout. I feel awesome this week and love the being a part of the Revolt Fitness blogger team.
Here are my week 2 results:
This week I lost 1 pound about 1-2% body fat and 3 inches off my body!!!!!!!!!
Making my total: Between 4-5 pounds, 2-4% body fat and 8 inches! 4 more weeks to go and I just know I’ll make my goal.
