Driscoll's Berries

With Spring in the air fruit is an even bigger hit at my home. Driscoll's sent me several coupons to get me in the mood for Spring. They have even expanded their recipes section on line at http://www.driscolls.com/. So, I went to the Driscoll's recipe section and I made a Creamy Lemon Strawberry Smoothie with Coconut Water! Yummy! I'll share the recipe below. My oldest enjoyed … [Read more...]

Aunt Jemima’s Lil’ Griddles Make Breakfast Fun

Munching Lil' Griddles

My little ones like to sleep in till the last second in the morning and I can't blame them. So do I, but I also like to give them a hot breakfast before school.   Here is my little monster! He made a huge announcement recently that he no longer wants to eat animal products. He told me that eating animals is bad for the environment and he loves nature. How could I not respect that? I'm what you would call a flexitarian. That means I eat meat on occasion, but it's not my main food source. Honestly, I have never enjoyed the taste of meat and as I get older I have become concerned over the amount of hormones and other not so nice things in my meat. … [Read more...]
