I have to admit, I have not been in life makeover mode. It’s been more like survivor mode. I know you understand what I’m talking about if you are a mom. First one is sick, then the other, you get sick somewhere in between there and you just do the basics. The laundry, the meals, the appointments, school and family responsibilities take first place. So, now I’m ready to play catch up. Want to join me?
Here are some links to my past posts:

I actually need to catch with these myself. If you’ve already done these steps I’m adding a new one.
Time and Energy
Isn’t that what it’s all about? Being a mom is exhausting, so take some steps to try to avoid the fatigue of doing it all.
1. Learn how to say NO. This one has been beaten to death, but that is only because it’s true. If you’ve already volunteered, chaperoned, baked etc, just say No this week and fill that time to do something just for yourself.
The object is to enjoy spending time with your kids and not having it become a chore. How many parents wish for bedtime just so they can breathe? I do sometimes and I don’t want it to be that way.
2. Stay at Homework: Take 15 minutes today and just be with your children, whether its playing a game, eating a meal, or just watching them with interact with each other.
The next time you are wishing for bedtime remember that moment. You will never have it again.
